Yard Work, and lots of it...

This is a pretty Jonquil in my back yard.

Matt decided to take out the tree stump in our front yard, from a tree we cut down about two years ago. He worked hard at it. This is Sunday afternoon..

This is Monday night. He was working on it again. Has a lot of the roots taken out now. I don't know totally what his plans are w/ it, but it'll be good to get it out of there cause I want to plant a Magnolia tree there. While he was doing that I was planting some... Angles trumpet or something like that from my grandma's house. Also planted some seeds. I can't wait to see them come up:-)


This is a Rhododendron bud.. One of my Rhododendron bushes is doing really well and the other not so well.

I don't remember what this is called now... it's pretty though!

My Bleeding Hearts! Aren't the beautiful?! I was having a hard time getting a good picture cause the wind was blowing so hard. I have two pink ones and one white one. The white one is a little slow this year... we'll see how it does. They have to come up and around before it gets too hot or they'll fry in the sun.

Hyacinth - they smell sooo good! I don't have very many of them, but would like to get more at some point.

We had our city wide garage sale this weekend. I love it cause it's when the two "flower ladies" in town have sales too! YAY! I got so many plants for only ten dollars! I was so excited. So, we came home and planted them right away before it rained. Matt weeded - what an amazing guy?!?! I also moved a bunch of stuff around in the yard. Things that had gotten too big and had to be split. I also got a few plants from my grandma's yard. Some raspberries, Vines w/ some sort of flower on it, hostas... It was a good weekend for yard work and planting!!

Working hard... but having fun doing it!

There is a rush to get Abby and Andy's house done, so that's what we're doing here! This is Friday night - when the fun started full force. What a blessing to have such wonderful friends that gather around you to help and support you like this. These people are wonderful!!

Saturday night. Here's Heather (Left) and Rachael (Right) learning how to tape and mud! They were pretty good at it too! EVERYONE was doing their part:-) We took many cookie, Mikes and chip breaks! What fun, though..

Friday night. Here's Abby - proud owner and mudding QUEEN! She had to teach all of how to mud. Some of us had never done it and some of us only once or twice. She's a pro! They are such a blessing in our lives:-)

Saturday night. Me and Matt:-) I have a butt full of mud and Matt's got a butt full of tools - can you guess who was doing what!? We're a true construction couple:-) Well.... kind of:-) It was a cute picture.

a little taste of my job.... kind of...

I had to take a picture of these begging kitties at work. This is a treated barrel, and the cats know it! They follow it around the parlor. They do this because after we use it we dump the milk onto the floor, down the drain. It's cute how they sit right by the barrel and wait, they know what they want!

But I can't....

I want to sit home, enjoying the sun and tulips, blogging..... but no, I have to go to work and make money... :-D I really do want to have time to blog though! Maybe later..... :-)

Our Weekend...

This is my cute grandma Jane - my dad's mommy. She is the neatest lady and has been such an active part in my life and blessing to me! I remember going to her house for Ladies Aid to help her get ready when it was at her house. I'd watch her do this very thing to her hair, and then put a little makeup on. We'd always make a chiffon cake, the kind with about twelve eggs. I learned how to separate a yolk from it's egg white from her:-) We stopped in to see her before we started our day of garage saling and over night at Matt's grandma's house.

Here's Matt... off to find the deals! He's so handsome! Shortly after this we stopped in to see Jami (my bother Tyler's girlfriend) at Eagle View Restaurant - of course we had to eat! Had some good deep fat fried stuff:-D Umm, Ummm good:-)

How great is this!? Only in America, and only in Minnesota! It was two thirty something guys having a garage sale with a keg! It was funny...

When we got to Cannon Falls and Matt's grandma's house they were working in the yard. Matt's uncle, LeeRoy, came over burn a pile of brush. The men, playing w/ the fire....

On our way back we went back to grandma Jane's and had a birthday party for Tyler's girlfriend, Jami. It was good fun. My mom brought dinner and then she made a really good cake. It was three layers, chocolate...! We love Jami.. she's such a good fit into the family:-) Mom got her a grass skirt at a garage sale so she put that on for a picture! What a sport... I sure love her!

Tulips!

Tulips are now open, and BEAUTIFUL! This is one before they opened and after the rain - no, not rain here!? But, it made for a pretty picture!

Movie..

Watched "27 dresses" last night. It was a really cute movie. Just a good chick flick. She's a cute actress, so is fun to watch. Good movie.
