Old Person Saturday Afternoon Drive

Last Saturday we went for a drive. I took lots of pictures. I wanted to go to the apple orchards and get some shots of the shriveled up apples still on the trees. These aren't the greatest photos, I was just playing w/ photoshop. The one above is handsome, though! That turned out really neat:)

Bright red, in all the pretty, crystal like snow...

This is how I've been feeling lately.....

"Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal." (2 Cor. 4:16-18 NKJV)

Have had lots of tough choices lately. This verse says it all for me. I do not put my hope in the things here on earth, but what is eternal. No matter how hard the decision, we will not lower our standards, we will not settle, will not sell our faith short. This shrivled up apple is forgotten... but our heavenly Father knows, sees and cares... even when everyone else has forgotten.

Here's the hair DOWN for you, Aunt Carol!!

I have it curled kind of here...

Still pretty long, just kind of choppy!

{{{ THE HAIR }}}
This is before... bad picture cause of the lighting... (and the scraggly hair!)

During. Bridget is the best:-} This stuff NEVER makes you look better at first - lol

It's done and pretty punk rocker looking! Sorry about the let down of the cut. I asked Bridget about that "a line" cut and she said that it would be okay with my hair, but not look like it should/could. It'd be a lot of work for my hair type and too short to put up. Not good for milking cows. I always wear my hair up. So, we went for this cut just with a choppier look, more dramatic layers... that you can't really see here... Sorry again, having trouble getting all my pictures off all of my cameras and onto all my different programs:-/

Matt told me I had to smile, I wasn't before this I guess.. Matt was missing out of the fun so he's in the background - turd! I love that you can see all my "punk" piercings too=)

So much going on and no time to even tell you about it!!

i look thru my pictures... and realize...
i have a lot of catching up to do and no time to do it...
i also feel as though after so much time has passed, I don't really think it matters to put pictures up and tell you about it... its over and we've moved on... our lives are always moving on...
My husband is sitting by my side, reading his Sociology book.. I am so blessed...
Blessed to be able to tangle me legs up with his warm legs in bed every night..
such a comfort!
"And the greatest of these is LOVE..."
Can you tell..??
that we're brother and sister!?
Continuing the goofiness..
We couldn't keep a straight face....

Fahrendholz... ha, dare you married one!?!?

Catching Tyler in motion...

And she's with him!!! Perfect for each other..

After a day on the town with Mary. Saw the James Hill mansion and went out for Sushi..

After dinner that night at Mary's house we went out looking for some fun... Had some fun drinks and then just went home. It was a wonderful anniversary weekend!

Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Nelson
We were at the James Hill mansion so I couldn't use a flash... a little fuzzy cause of that.

I love this man..

We are good at this self portrait thing!

Randomnesssss
Little Evelynn asleep on her mama's shoulder. I got to meet up with Sarah today and have lunch with her:-) This little pea is already four weeks, 5 days old! So sweet. She keeps her mammy up sometimes, but she gets through it by reminding herself that it will end, she will sleep again some night, all night:-)

This was the beautiful sunset that I got to see and take some pictures of one evening when I was on my way home. I didn't get real good pictures cause I didn't have the tripod so it was hard to be still. But look at those colors!?

Sarah came over a while ago, she stayed in her big down coat and boots. Matt came home a little later and changed into this. Sarah was horrified! I wouldn't be dressed like this in my house either. Matt looks like he's going to the beach and Sarah the tundra!

*interesting side note, I had to take the picture at an angle just to fit Matt in the picture, he's kind of tall*

The whole thing about the randomness is that I haven't downloading the pictures off of my cameras in so long.... so, here you go!

* Frosty *
This is from one of those day when it was sooo very cold out, all the trees were frosty on the ridge.

Picture didn't turn out all that well since everything was white on white - and I just had my lil camera.

So pretty when frosty!

This is 1181. She looks like a big panda bear, doesn't she?! She's a mellow cow. All that steam, it's cow breath when it's so cold out!

I hate this time of year. It's so hard. Hard to get through another day w/ not enough sun and more then enough snow to last a life time. I am uninspired. In every area too. Food, reading, blogging, working, friends... all I want to do is sleep. I am going to try, though, to see the beauty in this time of year. I'd like to see some more melting, but I'll just be glad that that's getting closer and closer, each new day. I just want to put stuff in the ground and see it grow. I want to start to see all the stuff from years past that we've planted come through the earth and into life. I'm tired of this. Or, maybe I'm just tired!? I am going to take a nap before I have to go back to see those cows again........

We love being part of a small comunity!

I need YOU'RE help!!
I am getting my hair cut and colored on Wednesday!!! YAY! This is way over due. I am so, so thrilled about this. I love who I go to, Bridget. I trust her and she has my same kind of hair - so she knows what's realistic and what's not... My (basically) sister-in-law, Jami, suggested this, an "A line" cut. What do you think?? Do you have any ideas for me!? I want something kind of young and edgy. I am tired of the same old same old w/ my hair. But, I do love what's safe for my hair too. And I have to be able to put it up because of how much time I'm in the barn. Oh, what to do!?

I don't know her, I just really liked her hair cut. I would want a longer A line cut. I can't do too short. I did the short hair once. It was when I was thinner. My face was thinner. It looked cute on me at the time. So......

Please let me know what you think!!!
