The boat

The latest is that we're in a crunch. Matt's been working so very hard on it. This is what my sun porch table looks like right now.

New spark plugs and caps. This look beautiful to ppl that paid for them and want to be out on the water.

The nuts and bolts of it. Right here. The hard, dirty work. He was getting kind of frustrated w/ it all tonight. What a guy, though, being able to do all this himself. I am impressed! Tomorrow night his dad's coming over to put it on the water to make sure it's running before we pay for gas to haul it three hours north. It's getting close. Exciting:-)

The magic fairy that helps me w/ my laundry..

I went to get my sheets off the line this afternoon and I found a helper - he was taking a break when I ran into him of course. Even the grass hoppers need a break and some sun....

What was that you said??

He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth,
and its people are like grasshoppers.
He stretches out the heavens like a canopy,
and spreads them out like a tent to live in.
Isaiah 40:22

I am waiting for the second one now, "Big Cherry Holler" and I can't wait:-) Really, if you make time to read these, it will be well worth your time!

potography

On Wednesday night my friend Sarah and I went to our friend Raychel's and took a bunch of pictures of her handsome little men, Ike and Quilon. This is Ike, he was pouting and I got a good picture of it! He's a cute little man w/ the prettiest blue eye you even did see:-)

I think he was walking away in a snit again:-D Story of a 2 1/2 year old! He was really actually good for a little boy. Then we brought out the candy and he was great! lol..

Little people's feet.....

Mommy and Quilon. He's... 6 weeks now I think. It's fun to see his little eyes open now, not sleeping ALL the time anymore:-) Raychel even put up w/ some of our crazy ideas and just laughed at us. I told her that I don't think I'd let just any parent tag along and watch all the crazy stuff we had to do to get some of the pictures. But, they're very easy going people and fun to be around so it was a good time..

Afternoon at the Houston Co. Fair....

This afternoon we went to the Houston Co. Fair w/ our friends Kevin and Sarah. This is the first fair we've been to all summer, and that's odd for us. We've been so busy, we haven't been able to fit anything like that in. It was a wonderful, mellow time. We ate some very expensive fried food, saw some bad (and some good) 4H photography and lots of fun animals.

Some veggies that were judged...

Note that this goat is wearing a Fleet Farm t-shirt! I love goats, they have such great personalities!

She was wearing a too-too!

This is a Flemish Giant, they had a doe and a buck for sale... if I didn't already have two bunnies... :-) They were so pretty!

The horses were so pretty. They all looked bored...

Kevin in his new payloader! lol... if he had a use for it he might be the new owner!
They're in the bobcat! Another thing that he might just own if he had a reason too. He and Matt were saying they really want to hobby farm so they'd have a reason to use this stuff. Oh boy...

Update On Matt's Boat...

Here's Matt cleaning the boat out. It was in the back yard all last year, so it needed it. It's all ready to put the no-slip paint on the floor now:-)

update on the boat, wether you want one or not:-)

Here are the letters put to use! He's got them on the boat now, as you can see:-)

The latest $$ spent.. on gas lines! He's getting ready to put them on!

The Man and his motor! He was able to get them all put on in about two - three hours! So, $214. and three hours of our life we'll never get back... and we have new gas lines!! It will be fun to have it up and running. His nice daddy is giving him some special no-slip type paint to put on the floor of the boat. It's exciting - for those of us who are easily excited.
